YARN: Scheepjes Stonewashed XL 9 skeins in Boulder Opal nr 844
HOOK: 6,0 mm
YOU WILL NEED: Scissor and tapestry needle to weave yarn tails in
STITCH GUIDE
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
chsp – chain space
V-stitch – 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc
GOOD TO KNOW:
Repeat *-* untill the end of the round
You will be making two rectangles to form the poncho, each rectangle measures approximately 40 x 70 cm.
Once the rectangles are complete, you will sew or chrochet them together to form a simple poncho shape. There is a diagram to help you! Once sewn/crocheted you will crochet a simple neckline to complete the poncho.
PATTERN:
Foundation 54 ch’s
Row 1. Dc in 4th ch from hook. (This creates two double crochets next to each other because the last three in the row serve as the first double crochet), skip 1, in next chain work dc, ch 1, dc (This is the V-stitch), skip 1, 1 dc, *1 dc, skip 1, 1 V-stitch, skip 1, 1 dc* turn your work with 2 ch.
Row 2-54. *1 dc, skip 1, 1 V-stitch, skip 1, 1 dc* turn your work with 2 ch.
ASSEMBLY
Fold your rectangles according to the diagram and hold edges in place with (safety) pins. Make sure the ridged sides of the fabric are both facing the same way. Either chrochet or sew your rectangles together.
Make a round of sc around the neck when you have assemblied the 2 rectangels together
FRINGES:
1 fringe = 2 threads of approx. 30 cm .
Attach them even around the outeredge of the poncho
