YARN: I have used Scheepjes Whirl, One ”cake” contains 1000m and have a weight of ca 200g. For this pattern I have used one ”cake” Fruity o Tutty nr 763. The green one is crochet in Pistachi oh so nice nr 761. You can of course use any yarn of your choice.
HOOK: 4,0 mm
YOU WILL NEED: Scissor and tapestry needle to weave yarn tails in
STITCH GUIDE
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
chsp – chain space
sc – single crochet
GOOD TO KNOW: The Traveller is chrocheted top down,
PATTERN
Start with a ch 5 and join with a slip stitch
Row 1: Ch3, into ring ch3, 3 dc, ch2, 4 dc, turn
Row 2-6 (row of holes): Ch3, 2 dc into base on turning ch, *ch1 sk 1 dc, 1 dc in next dc* repeat until you reach the chsp in ”the top”, 2 dc + ch2 + 2 dc in the chsp. * ch1 sk 1 dc, 1 dc in next dc* repeat until the last dc on the row, 3 dc, turn
Row 7-11 (solid rows): Ch3, 2 dc into base on turning ch, 1 dc in every dc and chsp until you reach the chsp in ”the top”, 2 dc + ch2 + 2 dc in the chsp, 1 dc in every dc and chsp until the last dc on the row, 3 dc, turn
Row 12-13: row of holes
Varv 14: solid row
Varv 15-16: row of holes
Repeat row 7 – 16 3 times
Make 5 solid rows before you start the border.
Border:
Row 1: ch6, 1 dc into base on turning ch, sk 1 st* 1 dc +ch3 + 1 dc in next st, sk 1* repeat until the last st before the chsp in ”the top”, sk the chsp, *1 dc +ch3 + 1 dc in next st, sk 1* repeat until you reach the end of the row, turn
Row 2: ch3, 1 dc + ch2 + 2 dc in the first chsp, sc into next chsp, *2 dc + ch2 + 2 dc in next chsp, sc in next chsp* repeat until you have 2 chsp left until you reach ”the top”, 2 dc + ch2 + 2 dc in next chsp, 2 dc in next chsp, 2 dc in next chsp, *2 dc + ch2 + 2 dc in next chsp, sc in next chsp* repeat until you reach the end of the row. Fasten off
